Detox in Canada

If you’ve been partying too much lately and need to take a break from the booze, Canada is the perfect vacation destination.

Since a 6-pack of their crappy domestic beer costs $14 (good beer is even more!), I’ve found myself alcohol-free on this vacation.

Apparently this is the whole point of the outrageous prices: to promote a healthier lifestyle.

Of course, if you’re not interested in detoxifying on vacation, you can bring limited amounts of alcohol across the border.

But instead of the typical over-indulgent, constantly hungover, weight-gaining vacation, a trip to Canada can be a healthy vacation, especially considering all the great skiing and hiking in this beautiful country!

No alcohol?!? Oh Canada!! But you bring up a good point – good for the wallet and good for the waistline. Good tip. Thanks!

Well I actually didn’t go the entire trip without alcohol; we cut our stay short in Vancouver (not because we were having withdrawals – we’re not that bad!) and indulged in a few drinks once we crossed the border back into the good ol’ US of A.
